Center for Peace & Spirituality USA Hosts Indian-American Community Leaders Roundtable: Building Connections and Supporting Community Mental Health

The Center for Peace & Spirituality hosted an Indian-American Community Leaders Roundtable on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at its Waltham, Massachusetts, location. Approximately 20 Indian-American community leaders representing different organizations and community initiatives came together for an informal discussion focused on strengthening collaboration and addressing shared concerns within the community.

The meeting provided an opportunity for participants to introduce their organizations, learn about one another’s work, and identify common areas where greater cooperation could benefit the Indian-American community. A significant focus of the discussion was the growing concern around mental health and well-being among children and young people.

Participants shared perspectives on the challenges facing children and families and discussed the importance of greater awareness, early support, community education, and collaboration among organizations. The group explored ways community leaders could work together to connect families with appropriate resources and create stronger support systems for children and their families.

The roundtable highlighted the value of bringing together community organizations that share a common commitment to the well-being of the community. Participants expressed interest in continuing the dialogue and exploring practical opportunities for collaboration on mental health and other common community issues.
